The Third Annual Function of the PD Tandon Foundation Trust was held at Jaipuria Institute of Management Auditorium on 18th February 2024 at 4.30 pm.
The programme started with floral tributes to Mr. PD Tandon and his son, late R.K. Tandon, who passed away in May 2023 by Chitra Malik, Wg Cdr (Retd) RN Mehrotra and VP Mehrotra. Renowned author and poet Chandra Shekhar Verma conducted the programme. He regaled the audience with his oratory skills and crisp couplets.
The programme started with a speech by our panellist Mr. Ratan Mani Lal, who paid tribute to the founder of the PD Tandon Foundation Trust, Late Mr. RK Tandon, who was his senior in journalism. After that Mrs Chitra Malik reminisced about her brother RK Tandon.
The Second Annual Function of the PD Tandon Foundation Trust was held at NBRI Auditorium, Lucknow on 8th October, 2022.
The programme started with lamp-lighting and floral tributes to Mr. PD Tandon, by the President and the Secretary of the Foundation along with the helper-associates of Tandon family – Shri Bachan Lal and Shri Sitaram. Mr. Chandra Shekhar Verma conducted the programme. The President and the Secretary welcomed the panellists present, viz. Ms Ruchi Kumar, Mr. Ratan Mani Lal and Mr. Sharat Pradhan. Also present on the occasion was Shri Dhirendra Verma, poet and writer, and son of the eminent litterateur Shri Bhagwati Charan Verma.
The Inaugural Annual Function of the PD Tandon Foundation Trust was held at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow on 3rd October, 2021. Dr. Rita Bahuguna Joshi and Mr. Pramod Tiwari were among the guests present.
The programme started with lamp-lighting by both the Chief Guests, the President and the Secretary of the Foundation. The programme was conducted by Mr. Chandra Shekhar Verma, a writer, poet and grandson of eminent literary figure Shri Bhagwati Charan Verma. Mr. R K Tandon, President and Ms Chitra Malik, Secretary, welcomed the guests and the panellists.
PD Tandon was a freedom fighter, eminent author and journalist, whose name appears on fifty two books in Hindi and English, of which some were translated into Urdu and Tamil also. During the Quit India Movement of 1942.
